Hello, neighbors! I'm Michael Flatley, Co-Founder of Impact Band, and I'm excited to share our journey and the exciting future that lies ahead for our Charleston-based company. Together with my fellow Co-Founder and better half, my wife Amanda, and our adorable 2-year-old daughter, we call Mount Pleasant home. In November 2022, we introduced a game-changing product – the Impact Band – and we're thrilled to share the story of how it all began and the remarkable features that set us apart.
The Birth of Impact Band:
Our venture into creating the Impact Band started with a personal realization. As a smartwatch user frustrated with my sedentary lifestyle, I joined a co-rec soccer league to boost my activity levels. The only problem was I had to remove my watch before playing to avoid causing potential damage to my watch or harm to others on the field. Traditional rugged cases protected the watch but posed a greater risk to fellow athletes during contact sports.
Driven by this gap in the market, I conceptualized the Impact Band – the world's first soft padded smartwatch wristband. This revolutionary accessory not only shields your watch from damage but also ensures the safety of those around you, allowing wearers to wear their smartwatches during any activity, including contact sports. With the Impact Band, I can now wear my watch during soccer games and close my rings.

Amanda and I dedicated over three years to perfecting the Impact Band. We collaborated with three design teams and vetted seven factories to create a lightweight, sweat-wicking, machine-washable, and extremely protective wristband.
